Long-term agreements are the main criterion of ALROSA’s sales policy; up to 70% of rough diamonds mined by ALROSA are sold under long-term contracts. The contracts guarantee the volume and range of monthly supplies, as well as the possibility of buying an extra range of goods. ALROSA has formed a well-balanced client base consisting of the major market players, including manufactures and representatives of large diamond jewellery retail.
All long-term ALROSA clients are strictly selected on a number of legal and financial criteria. They must stick to the Guidelines on Responsible Business Practices which include transparency and information disclosure, anti-corruption policy, compliance with Kimberley Process requirements and respect for human rights.
Selected long-term clients are entitled to use the ALROSA ALLIANCE trade mark which confirms both the signed contract for diamond supply and the client’s reputation as a reliable and trusted partner.
